The little whale FREE crochet PATTERN

Materials: cotton yarn, 3 mm hook, stuffing, yarn needle, stitch marker, crewel
Abbreviations: Mr (magic ring), sc (single crochet), inc (increase), dec (decrease), ch (chain), dc (double crochet), hdc (half double crochet), sl st (slip stitch)

Tail fins (make 2)
1. 6 sc in Mr (6)
2. 6 sc (6)
3. (2 sc, inc)x2 (8)
4. (3 sc, inc)x2 (10)
5. (4 sc, inc)x2 (12)
6. (1 sc, dec)x4 (8), sl st.
Fasten off and do not stuff the fins.
Do not cut the yarn once you have completed the 2nd fin.

Body
Merge the two fins together.
7. join the yarn with a sc to the 1st fin, 1 sc, dec, (2 sc, dec)x3 (12)
8-9. 12 sc (12)
10. (2 sc, inc)x4 (16)
11. 16 sc (16)
12. 6 sc, 4 inc, 6 sc (20)
13. 20 sc (20)
14. 8 sc, 4 inc, 8 sc (24)
15. 24 sc (24)
16. 9 sc, 6 inc, 9 sc (30)
17-24. 30 sc (30)
25. (3 sc, dec)x6 (24)
26. (2 sc, dec)x6 (18)
27. (1 sc, dec)x6 (12)
28. 6 dec (6)
Fasten off.

Pestoral fins (make 2)
8 ch, starting 2nd ch from hook 3 dc, 2 hdc, 2 sc, other side 2 sc, 2 hdc, 3 dc, sl st.
Fasten off and leave a long tail to sew the fins to the body between rounds 18th and 19th.

Eyes
Embroider a French knot with black yarn between rounds 21th and 22th.
