Basic doll FREE crochet pattern

 Basic Doll

Hereby I present my band new doll pattern. I made him a boy but with longer/other hair you could make a girl out of it. I hope you'll like it. Use your fantasy and be creative with it. Happy crocheting. 


Materials: 3 mm hook, cotton yarn, stuffing, yarn neadle, stitches marker, crewel.

Abbreviations: Mr (magic ring), sc (single crochet), sl st (slip stitch), ch (chain), inc (increase), dec (decrease), BLO (back loop only)

Color change: Work in the color A until two loops of the last stitch remain on the hook. Use the color B to complete the stitch.

Arms (make 2)
1. 6 sc in Mr (6)
2-11. 6 sc (10 rounds) (6), sl st
Do not stuff. Fasten off and leave a long tail. 

Legs (make 2)
1. 4 ch, turn, 2 sc, inc, other side: inc, 2 sc  (8)
2. (1 sc, inc)x2, (inc, 1 sc)x2 (12)
3. BLO, 12 sc (12)
4. 4 sc, 2x dec, 4 sc (10)
5. 4 sc, dec, 4 sc (9)
6- 13. 9 sc (8 rounds) (9)
Fasten off on the first leg. Do not cut the yarn once you have completed the 2nd leg. 

Body
14. 3 sc on the 2nd leg, crochet the two legs together with 5 ch, 9 sc on the first leg, 5 sc between the legs, 6 sc on the 2nd leg (28)
15- 18. 28 sc (4 rounds) (28)
19. (12 sc, dec)x2 (26)
20. 26 sc (26)
21. (11 sc, dec)x2 (24)
22. 24 sc (24)
23. change the color -26. 24 sc (4 rounds) (24)
27. crochet the 1st arm to the body, 6 sc on the arm, 12 sc on the body, 6 sc on the 2nd arm, 12 sc on the body (36)
28. 36 sc (36)
29. (4 sc, dec)x6 (30)
30. (3 sc, dec)x6 (24)
31. (1 sc, dec)x8 (16)
32. (2 sc, dec)x4 (12)
Neck (change the color)
33-34. 12 sc (2 rounds) (12)
35. (1 sc, inc)x6 (18)
36. (2 sc, inc)x6 (24)
37. 24 sc (24)
38. (3 sc, inc)x6 (30)
39- 43. 30 sc (5 rounds) (30)
Add safety eyes between rounds 41st and 42nd, approx. 6 stitches appart.
44. (3 sc, dec)x6 (24)

47. 6 dec (6)
Fasten off.

Embroider the hair, the mouth, the nose.
